Prelude

Shortly after we started dating 10 years ago, he contracted a rare form of cancer. After numerous chemotherapy, vigorous radiotherapy and lots of fight; he survived. We married a few years later.

The cancer treatment gave us his life and our future back, but subsequently ladled his life with a host of relatively tiny inconveniences. One of these inconveniences he paid for came in the form of a dwindled sperm count. This means the possibility of natural conception (minus divine intervention) is close to none.

And so, we thank the gift of science and embarked on a journey to undergo IVF at KK Women and Children's Hospital.

The dream of starting a family has so far been a nightmare. For me at least.

After being discharged from the hospital from OHSS (Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome) yesterday (26 March), I decided to start a blog to chronicle my baby making journey.

I am Taru, the warrior in this battle with infertility. And that's the long and short of it.

Sharing my experiences

Going through IVF treatment and getting OHSS was not easy. I had lots of questions and uncertainties which I had no one to ask along the way as doctors and nurses were not always available.

Having been through that, I'll be happy to answer any related questions based on my personal experiences to anyone going through this path too.

Just leave a comment under my posts!
